The Card Concept Challenge #135

I decided to participate in the Card Concept Challenge #135. The theme was ”Red, White and Blue”:

Since I live in Sweden the patriotic theme was a bit difficult… But a challenge is a challenge! I pulled out some really old papers from My Mind’s Eye and Jillibean Soup. Actually my paper crafting stash has been resting for some time, so there is tons of stuff waiting to be used.

I used the journaling card from Jillibean Soup as a starting point. I liked the quote as I wanted to make a card for a friend’s birthday. I embossed an old chipboard star with white embossing powder and the result was a bright white and glossy star that I l really liked!

At last, I added some old twinkle stars from Queen & Co and a black ribbon. Done! Very clean & simple, and I love the card! Unfortunately I was too late to upload my contribution to the challenge, but I’m happy for the inspiration.
